Trump calls the New York Times's Iran coverage 'TREASONOUS' and says he will add it to his suit
President Trump wrote that the New York Times's coverage of Iran was, in his opinion, 'TREASONOUS', and said he will be adding all of what he called their false and ridiculous reporting to his multi-billion-dollar lawsuit against it.
What happened
The post was published on Truth Social on Sunday 21 June 2026 at 6.28pm EDT. In it Trump wrote that the way 'the Corrupt and Failing New York Times' is covering stories on Iran through 'FAKE & MADE UP “FACTS”' is, in his opinion, 'TREASONOUS', that he will be adding all of their false and ridiculous reporting to his multi Billion Dollar lawsuit against them, and that 'They are Criminals!'
Why it matters
