Trump Organization signs Qatar golf resort deal with state developer
The Trump Organization and Saudi developer Dar Global signed an agreement with Qatari Diar, a firm owned by Qatar's government, to build a Trump-branded golf club and villas near Doha.
What happened
The deal, announced April 30, 2025, was the first new foreign Trump Organization deal disclosed after the second inauguration and came shortly before Trump's May 2025 Gulf trip. Reports valued the wider Simaisma masterplan at roughly $5.5 billion, but the Trump-branded golf and villa portion is only part of that, and the licensing fees to the Trump Organization were not disclosed. The government-owned partner drew conflict-of-interest attention.
