What happened

Walczak, a former Florida nursing-home executive, pleaded guilty in November 2024 to employment-tax crimes and was sentenced in April 2025 to 18 months and about $4.4M in restitution. Less than three weeks after his mother attended the April Mar-a-Lago dinner hosted by the pro-Trump super PAC MAGA Inc., Trump signed the pardon on April 23, 2025, erasing the sentence and restitution.
