Trump-branded Gurugram towers sell out in hours

All 298 units of Trump Residences Gurugram, a licensed project with Indian developers Tribeca and Smartworld, sold out on launch day for roughly $382 million.

What happened

The two 51-story towers mark the Trump Organization's fifth branded residential project in India. The Organization does not build or own the towers; it licenses its name for a fee not broken out from India's overall 2025 licensing take.

Why it matters

Indian buyers paid a premium specifically for the sitting president's name on their apartments, generating licensing income from a country whose trade relationship with Washington was under active negotiation.
