Mar-a-Lago revenue hits $77.5M as initiation fee reaches $1M
Trump's 2025 disclosure showed Mar-a-Lago generated nearly $77.5 million in income, more than 50% above 2024 and roughly triple its 2020 revenue, as the initiation fee reached $1 million.
What happened
Mar-a-Lago's income was about $20 million to $25 million a year during Trump's first term, jumped to roughly $50 million in 2024 and reached $77.5 million in 2025. Joining cost $100,000 before his first election in 2016; after several rises the initiation fee was raised to $1 million in 2024. CNN reported that Trump visited Mar-a-Lago and Doral more than two dozen times from the start of 2025, hosting million-dollar-per-plate fundraising dinners, feting foreign dignitaries and welcoming GOP galas, and that Mar-a-Lago held multiple $1 million-per-person "candlelight dinners" for the pro-Trump super PAC MAGA Inc., drawing figures including Elon Musk.
Why it matters
Access to the sitting president at his private club now costs $1 million to join, and the club's revenue has tripled since 2021, showing how directly membership fees track his political power and proximity. White House spokeswoman Anna Kelly said "neither the President nor his family has ever engaged โ or will ever engage โ in conflicts of interest."
